Susanne (Sue) Konschak passed away at home on April 29, 2019 in the comfort of knowing the Lord. She was 97. Sue was born in Denton, Maryland, to the late John and Anna Lissy. After graduating from Dover High School in 1939, she worked for many years as a bookkeeper including Sears, the State Treasurer’s Office, Edgell Construction, retiring from Teal Construction. After retirement she and husband, Albert, enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida.
Sue loved entertaining her family and friends and was well known by all for her hospitality. Her hobbies including reading, working crossword puzzles, gardening and shopping as well as traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Albert Konschak, in 2001, and her sisters, Anne Stokes and Ruth (James) Howarth; and brothers Paul (Sarah) Lissy and Frank Lissy; and son-in-law, Jack Conrad. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Conrad, Nancy (Roger) Hazzard, and Marlene (Linden) Boyer; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Rambo, Marcy (Mike) Gomez, Jackie (Josh) Etzweiler and Linden (Alyssa) Boyer; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Lindsay Rambo, Kyle and Derek Gomez, Silver Etzweiler; Jesssica, Emily and Katie Boyer; special niece, Patricia Swingle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends and neighbors.
Services will be held on 12:00pm, Friday, May 3, 2019, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE.19934.Friends may call after 10am. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
