Richard L. Vetter, 74, passed away, April 12 2017 in Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Richard was born on August 26, 1942 in Dover, Delaware, son of the late Helen (Kulhanek) and Richard C. Vetter.
He had worked as a land surveyor for over 50 years, opening his own business in 1985 and then later worked for Century Engineering. He remained active as a surveyor after his retirement.
Richard had the unique ability to put a smile on people’s faces and was always there for anyone who needed help. He loved being outdoors, and especially loved spending time with his family, particularly his 2 grandsons. Richard was a gregarious person whose fun-loving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Richard is preceded in death by his first wife Janet Vetter in 2004.
He is survived by his wife Judy Vetter, a son Richard K. Vetter of Camden, a sister Alice Davis of Dover, grandsons Richard B. Vetter and Ryan M. Vetter both of home, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 17 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
