Renee Letia (Garrett) Parker

Renee L. Parker, age 57 of Washington D.C. was called home on November 25, 2019. Renee was born in Washington D.C. on September 1, 1962 to Earlean and Wilson Lee Garrett. She graduated from H.D. Woodson High School in Washington D.C., met and married Marlon B. Parker in 1982. Renee traveled the world with her husband of 37 years, including stops in Germany and England. She became a Licensed Daycare Provider, and went on to retire after 24 years. Renee and Marlon moved to Magnolia, DE where she continued and enjoy her retirement. She enjoyed spending with her two grandchildren who lived with her in Delaware as well. Renee loved crabs and couldn’t wait for the season to start each year.

Her favorite thing to do was to shop on Amazon and spoil each and everyone of her grandchildren. Renee is preceded in death by her favorite grandmother Theresa Holland, her father Wilson Lee Garrett. 

She is survived by her husband Marlon B. Parker Sr;her daughter April Parker, her two sons Marlon B. Parker Jr.and Marcus Parker. Renee is also survived by her mother Earlean, sister DeShone, brother Darrin, 11 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Journee, Heaven, Jaden, Jordan, D’Asia, Chenoa, King, Kitchi, Luyu and Nizhoni.

A memorial service will be 3pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave. Burial will be private.
