To lose our loved ones to death is very painful. Many wonder "Why do good people die?"  Romans 5:12 gives us the answer. Thou this enemy (death) overtakes our loved ones, God's word assures us that he will restore life to many who have fallen asleep in death. (John 5:28.29)

Phillip,
Still in shock and denial and not understanding why. While it was a short time we were friends, your impact was great, always made me smile, many, many a great time (toga party, silos, clubbing !). You will be greatly missed. May your family and loved ones find peace, love and learn to cope with your loss. I will cherish the memories of our great times together. Dave

Please accept my deepest condolences to the family your loss. Losing our loved one in death causes us to shed a lot unwanted tears, but at Revelation 21:3,4 We have the promise that “[God] will wipe out every tear" from our eyes. God will not merely dry off such tears; he will wipe them out completely by removing the causes of unwanted tears—death. May this scripture comfort you and to trust in that promise.

My deepest sympathy on the sudden passing of Phil. I was shocked to learn of his death. Phil was a great neighbor and could truly "light up a room" as you stated. He always offered a friendly smile and encouraging word. When he was featured in the style column of the News Journal I was delighted and told people what a cool neighbor I had! May God sustain you and comfort you.

PT, Bella & Tommy - so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was taken too soon... I've known Phil since he sold me a Ford Explorer from Garnet Ford back in 1996. He was always charming and energetic. He could fill a room with his charisma. So sorry to learn of his passing. with sympathy, Kevin Lammers.
