Oscar Walls Obituary

     Oscar “Kenny” Kenneth Walls, 68, of Harrington passed away on April 27, 2018. He was born in Milford, son of the late Howard F. Walls and Sarah E. Walls.

     Kenny graduated from Milford High School in 1968.  He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970.  He worked at Playtex for 38 years, retiring in 2006.  He worked with his best friend, Charles Stubbs, detailing boats and cars until 2013.  He was an avid fan of NASCAR, football and baseball.  He loved Dale Earnhardt, the Phillies and his favorite, the Philadelphia Eagles.  He was so happy to see them win the Super Bowl this year.

     Kenny enjoyed going on vacations with his family. His family meant the world to him. He loved playing Santa Claus every year for forty years for all the children in his family.  He had the kindest heart and loved all the children and all the children loved him.  His whole world revolved around his grandson, Dustan L. Russum, Jr. and Kenny attended every baseball practice and every game ready to watch him play. Kenny was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

     Kenny is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia A. Walls; his daughter, Brenda L. Russum; his grandson, Dustan L. Russum, Jr.; two brothers: John Walls and his wife Linda of Milford and George Walls and his wife Sandy of Dover; his sister, Phyllis Walls of Milford; his mother in law Margaret Hurd; six nieces, three nephews, seven great nieces; three great nephews; and a great great niece and nephew.  He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Wanda Kay Walls; his very special aunt Elva Watkins and his father in law Cornelius Hurd.  

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday.  Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.  Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
