Oliver D "Ollie" Morris

     Oliver Donald Morris was born on July 2, 1948 by midwife in Dover, DE to the late Thomas I. Morris, Jr. and Helen O. Morris of Milford, DE.  Oliver was affectionately known as “Ollie” and “Don”.

     Ollie was raised and educated in Lower Delaware along with his six siblings.  He was a quiet and kind spirit.  He enjoyed life on life’s terms. 

     Ollie worked in varied fields but especially enjoyed logging.  His hobbies included shooting dice, fishing, crabbing, playing cards, watching the Nature Channel and the Western Channel.  He was not to be disturbed while he watched the Washington Redskins play.  He loved fried fish and lima beans and anytime you visited something was sure to be cooking.

     Mr. Morris leaves to cherish two children:  Lee Artist Barlow (Tasha) of Milford, DE and Pamela A. Brown of Milford; his mother, Helen O. Morris of Milford, DE; three brothers: Bruce Morris, Eugene (Ruth) Morris and Thomas (Deloise) Morris; special friend Brenda “Gail” Cannon; grandchildren: Antonio Graves, Kandace Nichols, Lee Redding, Maleak Barlow, Emillyon Barlow, Emaza Barlow and Jesika Redding; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas I. Morris, Jr., his brothers Wayne, Glenn and William (Bill) and his grandson Job.

     We look forward to the great family reunion in the sky.

     A funeral service will be Noon Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Paul’s UM Church, 300 North Street, Milford, DE 19963 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until Noon on Friday.  Burial will follow in John Wesley U.M.
