Minnie Ann (Dixon) Hampton

Minnie Ann Hampton was born November 23, 1939 in New Haven, CT.  She was called to join the Lord on August 1, 2017 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.  She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Hampton, Sr. and son Walter Hampton.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her children, Meta Hampton, Arthur “Sonny” Hampton, Jr., Edna Hampton, Marie Hampton, & Bernice Gardner (Tyrone); stepchildren, Tammy O’Neal (Donald) & Samuel O’Neal; a sister, Margaret Mitchell & Brother, June Cooper; a host of grandchildren & two great grandsons.

Minnie loved spending time with all of her children and enjoyed travelling to see them.  Mrs. Hampton loved to cook; she was chef in her last job.  All who met her noted her kind and gentle spirit.  Minnie loved the Lord even after she became ill.  When she was able she enjoyed going to church.  Minnie received salvation years ago and is now with the Lord.  She will be truly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Funeral Friday, August 11, 2017, 5 pm at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue.  Friends may call starting at 3 pm.
