Mieko (Matsuo) Dixon, of Camden, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in Cadia/Capitol Nursing Home, Dover. She was 81.
Mieko was born April 16, 1936, in Fukuoka, Japan. In her younger years, she had worked as a waitress, and also operated a house cleaning business while her husband was stationed at Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, N.C. She enjoyed cooking and hosting parties in her home.
Mieko is survived by her husband of 51 years, George M. Dixon; 3 children Richard Dixon & wife, Leticia, of Houston, TX. ; Linda King & husband, Randy, of Fort Walton Beach, FL. ; and Vickie Klemm, of New Zealand ; and 5 grandchildren.
