Mary "Betty" Louise (Whaley) Johnson

Mary Louise (Betty Whaley) Johnson was born on January 8, 1936, to the late Bessie and Edward Whaley in Berlin, Maryland. Mary was a loving Mother of seven children, whom she loved with all her heart.  She enjoyed cooking chicken and dumplings, and in her pastime, doing word puzzles, and dancing with her grandchildren. She was the Mother of her Church, and many looked to her for comforting words and they respected and loved her.    

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Johnson, Sr., and her oldest daughter, Diane L. Johnson.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Gloria Murrain, five sons, James E. Johnson (Loreane),), Kermon N. Johnson (Sarah), William H. Johnson (Wannetta) Robert F. Leonard (Wanda), Don L. Johnson, all reside in Delaware. She also leaves behind two brothers, Preston Whaley (Glendola), William Whaley (Catherine), twenty grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends.
