MaryAnn MacDonald, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 29, 2017, in Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. She was 72.
MaryAnn was born, June 16, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA., to the late, Walter & Mary (McKenzie) Pomroy.
She had worked as a teachers aide at Smedley Elementary School, in Philadelphia, for several years before retiring.
In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband, William H. MacDonald, who passed in 2006; and 2 brothers, William & Edward Pomroy.
MaryAnn is survived by her 2 children, Linda Marie Nix, & husband, Donald , of Dover; and James William MacDonald, of Camden, N.J. Her siblings, Ruth Bailey, Walter Pomroy, Jerry Pomroy, Elizabeth Cella & Paul Houseberg, all of Philadelphia, PA; Joseph Pomroy, of Clayton, DE and George Pomroy, of Langhorne, PA. The apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Jackie Torrez, of Dover; along with several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Ave., Dover ; where family and friends may view 1 hour before.
