Margie Eiliene Yost Pusey, age 77 years, Dover, DE, formerly of Magnolia, DE and Snow Hill, MD.
Margie Eiliene Yost Pusey entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 5, 2018, at State Street Assisted Living, Dover, DE, where she had been a resident since 2015. Born August 3, 1941, near Middletown, PA, she was the youngest daughter of Christian J. Yost, Sr., and Sarah J. Heller Yost. Margie graduated from Hershey High School, Hershey, PA, in 1959. In 1960, she married the love of her life, George Henry Pusey. From that union came three sons: Todd L. Pusey (husband John W. Rowe), Wilmington, DE, Scott C. Pusey, Gray, ME, and Brooke G. Pusey (wife Sherri L. Pusey), Bishopville, MD.
Margie loved to cook, bake, crochet, sing, dance, and paint. Most of all, she loved her three sons dearly and equally. She was a forty- five year resident of Snow Hill, MD and a longtime member of All Hallows Episcopal Church, Snow Hill, MD. She moved to Magnolia, DE in 2005.
Six siblings have predeceased her, namely: Christian J. Yost, Sr., Burrwood G. Yost, Sr., Lorraine A. Heisey, Jouyen C. Bergman, John A. Yost, and Marion E. Grant. Her husband, George H. Pusey, passed away in 1991.
Surviving are her three sons and spouses, a grandson, Cory R. Pusey of Ocean City, MD, two granddaughters, Taylor B. Pusey, Salisbury, MD and Lauren M. Pusey, of Maine. Also surviving, a sister Fern A. Schriver, Lancaster, PA, several nephews, nieces, great- nephews, great- nieces, a special friend Arthur Norton, Dover, DE, and her beloved dog, Suzy Q.
Friends and family are invited to a brief graveside service on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 11:00 am, at Snow Hill Christian Cemetery, Snow Hill, MD, which will be officiated by Rev. Woody Wheeler of Smyrna, DE. Immediately following the graveside service, a reception will be held at The Harvest Moon Tavern, Snow Hill, MD.
The family would like to acknowledge their profound gratitude for the wonderful care given to our mother by the Nurses and staff at State Street Assisted Living, as well as for the compassionate care that has been provided by Seasons Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
