Kenneth Olsen, 77, of Dover passed away on August 11, 2017.
Mr. Olsen was an administrator and a recruiter for the U.S. Army for about 28 years. He also worked in civil service in conjunction with his military service. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, and playing horseshoes. He also played basketball well into his 60’s.
Mr. Olsen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy (Sidorko) Olsen; five children: Kenneth Olsen and his wife Darlene of New Hampshire, Lisa MacLeod and her husband Dean of Iowa, Christopher Olsen and his wife Carol of New Hampshire, Terrence Olsen and his wife Miao-Ju of Tennessee and Theresa M. Hippolyte and her husband Gaffel of Magnolia; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wedenesday August 16, 2017 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
