June Warrington, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.
June was born June 12, 1933, in Clayton, DE to the late, John Herman Cook, Sr. & Florence Maree (Carey) Cook.
She grew up a farmer, and lived as a farmer. She was the Owner of May Be Acres Dairy Goat Farm; and also worked for Playtex in Dover for many years. June was an avid historian, and was a member of The Fort Delaware Society, the Central Delaware Civil War Round Table, and the Delaware Grays Camp 2068, Sons of Confederate Veterans, of Seaford. She is a graduate of Smyrna High School.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband, James Warrington; a son, Frank L. Steele(2001) and her sister, Dorothy Maree Earman.
June is survived by her daughter, Bobbi Steele, and her husband, Clarence Coker; a brother, John Herman Cook, Jr., of Clayton; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Rumbley, of Dover, and Rebecca Moore, of Virginia; 6 great-grandchildren, Naveah, Connor, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Wyatt & Austin ; and her former husband, Howard Steele.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fort Delaware Society, P.O.
