John Cook of Dover, passed away April 27, 2017 at Westminster Village. Mr. Cook was born August 30, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of William & Mary Cook.
After retiring from the Philadelphia Police Department John worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Mr. Cook proudly served in the Air Force and enjoyed travel, golf and fishing.
John is the beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving father of Maureen (Edward) Borek & Colleen (Doug) Hoover. Proud grandfather of Andrew, Matthew, Caroline, Thomas, Camille & Chloe. He is the dear brother of the late Mary Dustman, Edward “Buddy” Cook & Bill Cook.
Memorial Mass, Friday, May 12, 2017, 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, State Street, Dover, DE. Friends may gather 30 minutes prior to mass. Interment with military honors to follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Macular Degeneration Foundation.
