James (Jimmy) Edward Lowman Sr., passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with kidney disease.

He is survived by his daughter, Norma Jean Lowman-Blevins, son in law Allen and grandchildren Reagan Kerston and Tanner Anderson Lee Blevins. He also leaves behind his brother Donald Lowman and wife Sue, brother Thomas Lowman, sister Jean Caldwell and husband Louie, sister Peggy Betlyon and husband Ted, many nieces, nephews and great nephews and niece.

He is preceded in death by his son, James (Jim Jim) Lowman Jr., daughter Billy Joe, father and mother Marvel and Agnes Lowman and brother JR and Bill.

Mr. Lowman served during the Vietnam War as a Military policeman. He later worked with his father as a painter and was very proud of their work together. He enjoyed music, bird watching, westerns and bingo. He was a very caring, kind and sweet man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family at home.

He was a beloved father, brother and son who will be laid to rest on 11:00 a.m. today, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at a graveside service at the Templeville Cemetery in Templeville, MD.  Condolences may be sent to www.pippinfuneralhome.com
