James “Jim” Guarino, 88, of Dover, DE passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2018 and has now joined his loving wife of 68 years, Masako Guarino, after a short battle with cancer.
Jim was a Korean War veteran in the United States Navy. After ten years of service in the Navy, he ended his working career for the United States Post Office in 1988.
He was an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed many outdoor hobbies, as well as woodworking.
He is survived by his four daughters Susan Wujtewicz (Donald), Debra Triompo (Ralph), Shirley “Lei” Fausey and Dori Hart. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, a pet poodle Cuddles, and a special sister, Doris Hallum.
Jim will be interred together with Masako in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Millsboro, DE. A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice and Shorecare of Dover for all their devotion and loving care of Jim.
