We were sorry to hear of the passing of Lion Phil. He was a very active and strong member of the Glasgow Lion Club as well as a good friend. He was always available to help those in the community in need. He truly exemplified the lion motto of "we serve". As our annual Glasgow Lions Christmas party arrives next week we will remember and miss Lion Phil leading us in Christmas songs with Gerry on the key board.

Phil was a wonderful man and a great preacher. Garnet and I both cared a great deal for him. We went to see him a couple of times at the home. He didn't know who we were but he was always smiling and seemed very glad to see us. We will truly miss him and Gerry. My prayers go out to all of you:

We are so sorry to hear of this. Rev. Gehres was pastor at Grand Gorge while I was a teen. My mother, Catherine Thorington, often looked out for his children when he and Gerry needed to be away. They were kind enough to come to our wedding even though they had moved on to Hobart. He was an important part of my life. Now I am a retired UM clergywoman. He was kind and caring and dedicated. I will be holding the family in my thoughts and prayers.
