George J. Inverso, 88, of Dover passed away on September 25, 2017 at home.
Mr. Inverso was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was devoted to his family throughout his life. Family and friends knew he was always available for advice and support. George had served as a flight engineer for the United States Air Force, retiring after 27 years of service. Afterwards, he had been an accountant for Kent County. He enjoyed intellectual conversation, accounting, reading and playing games on his iPad.
Mr. Inverso is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia J. Inverso; his daughter, Donna Oldham and her husband Mac of Newark; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Georgie Inverso and Kimberly Book.
A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday. Burial will follow in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
