George William Farrell, of Dover, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 77.
George retired as a Sergeant with the Delaware State Police, after serving for over 13 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, 3rdDegree. In his free time, he enjoyed puttering around the house inventing or improving things, and doing woodworking.
George was preceded in death by his son, William Bricen Farrell.
George is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shirley Ann(Carter) Farrell; 6 children, Duane P. Farrell & wife, Lori, of Dover; Steven Dear & wife, Tracie, of Pueblo, Colorado; Crystal Trythall & husband, Rory, of Camden; Kimberly Mullens & husband, Michael, of Chesapeake City, Maryland; Terrie Rhoades & Tracy Rhoades, of Greeley, Colorado; sister, Katherine Webb & husband, Thomas, of Dover; 12 grandchildren , 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm, Monday, August 6, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may gather 1 hour before. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
