Geneva Benitez Quiles (Gonzalez)-Morris of Dover, DE went home to Heaven on March 30, 2019. She was 54 years old. Geneva was born February 20, 1965 in Juncos, Puerto Rico. When she was young she and her family moved to upstate New York, where she resided until she joined the United States Army in 1987.
While in the Army, Geneva had the pleasure of living many places around the world, and creating many wonderful experiences. But, marriage and having a child led her to the decision to leave the Army, and she was honorably discharged in 1994.
Geneva had many titles in life- from soldier, to teacher, to insurance agent. But the titles that meant the most to her were wife and mother. A devoted wife and mother who was also known for her beautiful and infectious smile, her unending kindness, her prankster nature, her wonderful hugs, her love of babies, and, most importantly, her strong unwavering faith in God. Her absence from the world will be felt greatly by all who loved and knew her, and she will be terribly missed.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Julia Quiles, her father Alejandro Benitez, and her sisters Lydia Torres and Margarita Viera.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Morris; daughter, Julianne Morris; brothers, Luis Viera, Ozzie Gonzalez, John Gonzalez, Joe Gonzalez; sister, Maria Viera; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many many friends.
