Frank Anthony LaMorte, Sr.

Frank Anthony LaMorte Sr., 75 of Magnolia, Delaware died on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware.  Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Frank resided in Flanders, NJ for many years, before moving to Magnolia, Delaware in 2004. His parents were Pasquale and Assunta LaMorte.  Frank was the beloved and devoted husband of Joan (nee Feoranz); devoted father of Frank A. LaMorte Jr., daughter-in-law Janine Reilly LaMorte and cherished grandson, Joseph Reilly LaMorte; dear brother of Susan R. LaMorte and the late Peter LaMorte and brother-in-law to Phyllis LaMorte and Frank and Pat Feoranz; cherished uncle of Pasquale LaMorte, Nicole LaMorte Gaspar and Michael Feoranz, and Lisa Hatzidoukas.

He was employed with Foster Wheeler Corp. for many years as an Electrical Designer and spent 4 years in the New Jersey National Guard.  If he wasn’t spending his evenings relaxing on his deck listening to Frank Sinatra and more recently IL Volo with his family and friends, he was down in the basement working on his model train layout.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the countless others who he touched over the course of his life. Those who knew him, knew that behind the tough guy exterior was a big hearted softie who treasured the relationships he had with a special group of friends that were family to him.

Two Memorial Masses are being held to celebrate his life and honor his memory:

Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Church of the Holy Cross, 631 State St,  Dover DE, 10:30 AM 

Sunday, March 4, 2018,  St. Lucy’s Church, 118 7th Avenue, Newark, NJ, 4:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Lucy’s Church, The National Shrine of St. Gerard.
