Bernadette " Bonnie " (Stevenson) Hazzard

    Bernadette  "Bonnie" Veronica Hazzard, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in Kent General Hospital. She was 67.

    Bonnie  was born July 24, 1951, in Dover, DE to the late, Garrett & Naomi(Wiltbanks) Stevenson. She had worked for over 25 years for Perdue Poultry Company in Milford, and had also been employed with both Genesis & Heritage in Milford for 10 years. Bernadette liked to sing , and was known as the Karaoke Queen. She also enjoyed cooking, and her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her best friend Mildred, and a very special cousin Sonia Morris.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Tamela “T.T.” Caroll; and brothers, Wayne & Roy Stevenson.

  Bonnie is survived by her husband, Oliver “Buster” Hazzard; 4 children, Veronica “Ticey” Opare & husband, Wudi, of Dover; Irvin E. Hazzard, of Maryland; Justin Tyler Hazzard & companion, Ashley Hastings, of Seaford; and Kendra R. Hazzard & companion, Jackie Jones , of Dover. Her siblings, Shirlet Harris, Vera Harris & husband, Donald; Ramona Spruance & husband, Nathan; Victoria Stevenson, Gregory Stevenson & wife, Sandra; Wannetta Johnson & husband, William; and Mark Stevenson & wife, Shirley; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Waddler & companion, Kyla; Azim "Malik" Opare, Nhyira Opare, Taima Opare, Xzavion Hazzard, Janaz Hazzard, Mmara Opare, Arrianna Hazzard, and Omari Jones; and her great-grandson, Jakai Waddler; an uncle, aunt, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
