Barbara L. Bordley, of Camden, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Silver Lake Nursing Home. She was 87.
Barbara was born February 6, 1930, in Greensboro,DE to the late, James & Cora (Patterson) Bordley. She had a career of 42 years as a School Teacher, teaching in the Seaford, Bridgeville, and mostly in the Caesar Rodney School District, retiring in 1998.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James Bordley, Jr., Dennis Bordley, Carolyn Pleasanton, Christine Meade, Harvey Bordley and George Bordley.
Barbara is survived by her 2 Sisters, Sarah Bordley, of Dover and Ernestine Bordley Collins & her husband, James, of Camden; her sister-in-laws, Shirley Bordley, of Camden; Phyllis Bordley & Janice Bordley, both of Dover; an aunt, Gertrude Bordley, of Camden; as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
A Home Going Service will be held at 11am, Monday, October 2, 2017, in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Fulton & Queen Sts., Dover; where family and friends may view 2 hours before. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
