Alton Isaiah Hill was born on July 20, 1948 in Norfolk, Va. the son of the late Columbus and Marion Hill. Alton attended Booker T. Washington High School and Norfolk State University. Before completing his education at VSU, he was drafted in the military and served his time in the Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed at Dover AFB and made Delaware his home. He met and married Louise Lake and shared a loving union until her passing.
Alton worked a number of jobs but mainly in security. He made many friends at Delaware Correctional Center, Kraft Foods and finally Delaware State University, where he retired.
Alton was well known and liked and received many awards for his dedication and service. He loved hunting and going out on the boat crabbing with his friend Ed Duggan. He was an avid sports fan, and Pittsburg Steelers and the L.A. Dodgers were his favorite teams.
Alton loved to share his birthday with his friends and would throw some epic parties at his home.
On August 2, 2018 at 5:46 am with his wife by his side he quietly went to sleep and the Lord called him home. Alton was preceded in death by his father Columbus Hill, his mother Marion Foreman Hill and his sister Myra Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Robin Lawrence-Hill, sister, Glenise (Greg) Morris of Waxahachie, TX; brother, Karl Hill of Norfolk VA; daughter Lakeesha Cheeks of Dover, DE; stepchildren Jay (Denise) Sudler of Smyrna, DE; Randee Jordan of Columbia, MD; Dimitri Sudler of Felton, DE; grandchildren Lanya and Lauren Cheeks, Akeira Jordan, Deshawn Sudler, Jaymeir Sudler, Jaylen Sudler Avery Jordan, special nephew Damon Hines and friend Bruce Thomas and all relatives and friends.

There will be a funeral service on 11:00am Friday, August 10, 2018, at Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where there will be a viewing 1 hour prior, from 10:00am till 11:00am.
