Randell Coe Obituary

Randell Graham Coe, 78, also known as Graham, passed away on April 6, 2024.

Born on June 23, 1945, to Samuel Leslie and Annie Lucille Coe in Glade Spring,

Virgina. Randy is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother,

uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Thomas, Mary

Blackwell, Margaret Blevins and brothers William (Bill) Coe, Charles (Gardy) Coe,

and Kyle Coe.

Randy graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring, Virgina and went

on to serve in the United States Air Force, which brought him to Dover. While

stationed at Dover Air Force Base he met his future wife, Barbara. Randy went on to

graduate from Delaware State College and worked at Playtex, then 30 years at the

State of Delaware Auditor’s Office.

Randy was a loving father to children Jeff and Jessica. He was an active participant

in their sports and school activities, a permanent fixture on the sidelines cheering

them on. He loved sports and connecting with people and through the years, was

active in Pop Warner Football, Camden Wyoming Little League, men’s softball as an

umpire and a volunteer coordinator for the Delaware Youth for the Handicapped. In

his free time, he enjoyed attending dog trials with Barbara, playing golf, and making

people laugh.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of almost 58 years, Barbara (Cotterill) Coe; 2

children, Jeff Coe (Donna), Jessica Haynie (Collin); 3 grandchildren, Rhyan Haynie,

Graham Haynie and Joshua Coe; brother Robert (Lil) Coe; as well as his many nieces

and nephews. Memories of him will live on in the hearts of many. He was truly one

of a kind.

An informal gathering of life to share memories with all who loved Randy will be on

May 20, 2024, from 3-5pm at Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming, De. In lieu of
