John Hayward Pratt

     John Hayward Pratt, 53, of Woodside passed away suddenly on April 4, 2024 at home. Born in Dover, Delaware, he was the son of the late Joyce (Fogwell) and John Orville Pratt.

     A graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in 1988, Mr. Pratt pursued various hobbies with a passion. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and tending to his cherished pet chickens.  He had an ardent love of music, enjoying various genres and playing the guitar.

     Known for his vibrant personality, he delighted in telling stories and sharing jokes with those around him.  But, above all, he cherished his family, especially his children.

     Mr. Pratt is survived by his two children, John A. Pratt of Milton and Carly E. Pratt and her fiancé Michael of Milford; his former wife Pamela G. Pratt of Felton; and his brother Jeffrey E. Pratt and his wife Molly of New York. 

     A memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE  19934 where friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
