Jeffrey Charles Hallett of Hartly passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 from a lengthy battle with cancer.
Jeff had a great faith and his family at Woodside Church were a big part of his life. He had a great time working for the good of the church.
Anyone who knew Jeff, knew he had a great passion for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and trapping were all activities Jeff lived for. He also had a great appreciation for nature.
Jeff worked for many local contractors, nurseries, SanDel Packing and friends who needed help. If there is one thing to remember Jeff by, he was a kind gentle soul. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles G. Hallett, long time partner Kim Lockwood, grandparents Charles and Violet Hallett, Vern and Hannah Playful.
Jeff is survived by his mother Theresa E. Hallett, son Trapper Hallett, brothers Scott Hallett and his wife Glenda, Peter Hallett and his wife Colleen Hallett, and Greg Hallett, nephew Aaron and his long-time companion, Tara Miller and their son, Brody; nieces Shannon and her husband Rob; Heather, Teirney and her husband Kyle, nephew Aaron and many friends.
A special thanks to all his friends for their support throughout this trying time and to Delaware Hospice for their kind and caring attention they provided, especially Mary. Also special thanks to Pastor Rich Walton of Woodside United Methodist Church.
Services will be at a later date.
