Boon Brown Obituary

Boon Brown was born on October 20, 1939, in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand to the late Thum and Tae Poblarp. She attended the local schools of her small town of Ubon.  Fate would have it that on November 10,1968, she was united with Nathaniel Brown in holy matrimony at the Takhli Air Force Base in central Thailand.  They then moved to the United States, being stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. To help support herself and her family, she gained employment through Playtex, Inc., which she retired 25 years later.

In that union with Nathaniel, four children were born, uniting with Boon’s other children she had from a previous union.

Ms. Brown had a great love for cooking, spending time with her family and friends at the Wat Delaware Buddharam Temple in Felton.  Her love for her faith and spiritual journey was nurtured while being an active member of the Temple.

On April 7, 2024, the book of life for Boon Brown was closed.  She was preceded in death by her by parents:  Mr. and Mrs. Poblarp: Four of her Siblings in Ubon: Children:  Sukhum Keel Poblarp, Paeng Carney, and Debbie Dunn.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her sisters: Nit Poblarp; Suphanant Poblarp; loving sons: Danny Poblarp (Chelle); Nate Brown (Catina):  Devoted daughters; Kathaya Brown; Andrea Wright (Demetrius): Grandchildren; Tamyka Brown, Ashton Haines, Alexis Cohen, Kotchaphat Kamolthepha, Sarunya Kamolthepha, Zakia Brown, Zamier Harmon, Terik Brown, Darnell Nickerson, Calonni Brown, Danielle Poblarp, Destiny Brown, Dannyelle Dunn, Carrie Carney, Christopher Carney, Micah Wright, Dominique Wright, and Demetrius Wright, Jr. along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and mournful friends who will miss her dearly.

Ms. Brown will be profoundly missed, but she is now able to rest in peace.  She was loved by many and all her family.

Her Journey’s Just Begun

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun
Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.

Think how she must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched.

A heart that’s broke is a heart that’s been loved.

She loved us and she was loved so much.
