On Friday, July 22, Bill left us after being called to his final home by our Lord Jesus Christ. Bill was born in Dover, DE to the late Barber and Alberta Seward Shultie. He grew up in Woodside and lived there in the same place until his passing.
Bill as everyone called him was a very affectionate person who had a heart of gold. He was very well known for his love of animals, especially cats. He also enjoyed working in the yard and helping with the garden. Each year he would help his sister-in-law with canning tomatoes and making pickles. Every morning come rain or shine for 3 years he would put his great niece, Savannah, on the school bus and be there in the afternoon to see her home.
He is survived by his brother Wilson Shultie, sister-in-law Joyce Faye Shultie, with whom he lived, Nephews Kyle Oakey and Jason Oakey, Jason's wife Brittney Bergeron Oakey, and his two great nieces Savannah Oakey and Jacey Oakey whom he adored, his extended family members Gail Hohlbaugh and her husband Stu Hohlbaugh of Kernersville, NC He also leaves behind his cat Oscar.
Funeral Service 1 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Friends may gather two hours prior. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE.
