   William Rowe, of Camden, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, in his home. He was 87.

   Bill was born September 12, 1930, in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late, Robert & Beatrice(Bailey) Rowe. He served proudly in the United States Navy, before beginning a career  at Sun Oil Company in Claymont, DE for over 37 years, retiring in 1986. In his free time, Bill enjoyed woodworking, and going camping.

   In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Rouke; a brother, Robert Rowe; and a son-in-law, Robert Cressman.

   William is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Alice(Hutton) Rowe; 3 children, Donna Rowe, of Niskayuna, N.Y.; Lora Cressman, of Wilmington; and Roberta Christie & her husband, Thomas, of Monrovia, MD; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Dunlavey & wife, Alexis, of Niskayuna, N.Y.; Patrick Dunlavey, of Washington, D.C.; William Cressman & wife, Stephanie, of Glen Mills, PA.; Robert Cressman, III, of State College, PA; Abigail Cressman, of Wilmington, DE; Melissa Christie, of Newton, N.C.; and Brittain Christie & wife, Rachael, of Pensacola, FL.; a great-granddaughter, Lillian Cressman, of Glen Mills, PA; and a brother-in-law, William Rouke, of Concord, PA.

   The family wishes to extend their heartfelt Thanks to the doctors, visiting nurses and caregivers of Delaware Hospice.

   A private  service will take place in the Spring at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S.Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
