William R. Moyer, 90, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford, where he lived since 2012.
He was born on May 8, 1926 in Gilberton, PA and worked as a welder. He served in the U.S. Army and a proud member of the 78th Infantry serving in Europe during WWII.
Mr. Moyer was never married and leaves no children or immediate family.
He is survived by his fellow comrades of the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford and an extended family of caregivers and friends at the Veterans Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22 in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE followed with military honors and interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s memory should be made to the Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.
