Verma J. “Toodie” Pisapia of Wyoming Delaware passed away on Friday September 16, 2016 after an 11 month battle recovering from a stroke.

Toodie was born on September 20th 1941 to the late Earl and Mary Gearhart.

She spent many years working as a waitress at various restaurants through out Kent County. She also spent time working as a cafeteria aide at Nellie Stokes Elementary School. Verma was the former owner of Village Pizza. She most recently enjoyed working as a bus aide for Hiltons Bus Service and driver at Harvest Years Senior Center. Toodie was an active member of the American Legion Post #2 Ladies Auxiliary and loved to cook.  Family and friends said that if you left her house hungry it was your own fault!

Toodie was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Toodie’s family and love of it was her biggest passion. One of the things she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Toodie was an avid collector of all things Coca Cola; some would say her home is a Coca Cola museum!

Toodie was preceded in death by her parents, a son Charles L. Gray a Daughter Brenda Gray Tijerino, Grandsons Earl C. Hogle and Roger W. Paitsel II a sister Maryanne Coverdale and a special Brother in-law Raul Cabrera.

She is survived by two Daughters and a Son in-law, Vicky McWilliams, Marylou and Roger Paitsel, a Grand Daughter Rebecca Gray Clabough, six Grandsons and two Grand Daughter in-laws, Charles Wright, Walter Angelo Rodriguez, Alfred “AJ” and Deb McWilliams, Tyler and Brianna Paitsel, Alex L. Paitsel and Thomas W. Paitsel.Sissy Roper whom was like a Granddaughter to her, seven Great Grandchildren Kailey, Seth, Madilyn, Hayden, JR, Rowan, and Jaylyn, Five Brothers and four Sister in-laws Ron and Connie Gearhart, Jack and Pam Gearhart, Jerry and Linda Gearhart, David Gearhart, Larry and Cheryl Gearhart, Three Sisters and Brother in-laws Maxine and Rosendo Mendez, Loretta and Jim Hazelton, Donna and Robert Attix, along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and many many loving friends.

Memorial Service Sunday, September 25, 2016, 2 pm at Pippin Funeral Home 119 West Camden Wyoming Avenue Wyoming, DE 19934.  Friends may gather 1 hour prior to the service.
