Steven Lee Robinson

March 16, 1950 ~ December 12, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old


 

Steven Lee Robinson Sr., age 67 returned to his heavenly home on December 12, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at Bayhealth Medical Center, in the arms of his wife Beverly Robinson.

The devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. He was born to the late Doris and James Robinson and raised in Staten Island, N.Y. He was a licensed exterminator for over 45 years and retired from that profession.

Steve was blessed with a loving family. He was married to his best friend Beverly Robinson for over 18 years.  He is survived by his Children Carla, Maasi & Omar Kingston and his youngest, Stephen Lee Robinson Jr., Whitley Humes and Shemeca Moss. He also leaves behind three spiritual daughters, Sherrill Williamson, Kisha Abdulahi, and Tonya Walden.  Steven also leaves to morn his homegoing 6 grandchildren as well as a host of spiritual grandchildren.  He will forever be remembered by his loving sister Sheila Lott, his twin Sister Sharon Robinson and his youngest sister Donna Robinson, along with a five sister-in-laws (Bessie, Shelia, Renamae, Wendy, and Cindy), six brothers-in-law (Godfery, Gordon, Mervin, Lawrence, Ulick, and Pastor Orthniel Humes), his friend and brother Bishop Ronald Richardson, his friend and sister Apostle Ester Wilcox, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, whom were blessed to know him.

Steven was an active partner at United Church under the leadership of Kenneth Wagner. Steven will be remembered for his contribution as the Sunday School Superintendent at Out Reach Church of God in Christ and him and his wife also were the leaders of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry at Bread of Life Christian Church. They also served as Sunday School teachers together. Steven has left is legacy within the prison system. Steven love for God and his obedience to ministry has impacted a vast number of others. As a man of God, he touched the lives of many with his smile and generosity. He was a kind, soft spoken and very patient man. His favorite hobby was fishing, anywhere at any time. He also maintained his trademark as a great artist all the way to the end. He will be missed greatly.

     Funeral Services will be held  11am, Friday, December 22, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may gather 1 hour before.
