Sarah Chris Nickerson

Sarah Nickerson, better known as Chris Nickerson, of Camden, passed away in peace Saturday, November 22, 2014 after 70 long and beautiful years of loving her family and friends and spreading the word of God, and, somehow touching the lives of everybody that she encountered. She was born on February 22, 1944, in Danville, Virginia. Chris worked as an insurance agent for State Farm for over 40 years then retiring in 2012. The world has lost an angel who always gave more than she received and was willing to help absolutely anybody, but her spirit will live on through the lives that she has touched and in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was one of the most kind, generous and giving ladies you could ever know. Chris was involved in multiple sports 'since her school years including, baseball, softball, tennis and volleyball. Her family was her life and lived every day taking care of them and loving them. Chris was a very active member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Woodside, Delaware and loved her church family very much. She was married to her husband Ronald Nickerson  for 40 years when he passed away in 2010. Chris is survived by her two daughters Amy Fitzgerald and her her husband Ronnie Fitzgerald, Jr of Greenwood, Delaware, Leigh Ann Maddox of Wyoming, DE; grandchildren, Alyssa Fitzgerald, Dylan Feyerabend, Brooke and Blaine  Maddox , two sisters, Phyllis Pisacano, of Dover, DE and Joanna Likens of Camden, DE and numerous niece and nephews and extended family and friends .Friends may view  from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, November 28, 2014, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 W Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming. Services will be held at 12noon, Saturday, November 29, 2014, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
