Robert ‘Pop’ Marcum, 77

HARTLY — Robert “Pop” Marcum, went to be with the Lord peacefully in his home, Monday, November 17, 2014 with his wife of 28 years Claudine Marcum by his side. He was 77. He worked at West Dover / Haas Butcher Shop for many years. Pop loved his country and gospel music and had his own band known as Rugged Country. Pop was known for his lawn mower repairs. Robert was preceeded in death by his first wife, Dallas Marcum.

He is survived by his wife, Claudine Marcum; ten children, Robert Evans (Lisa), Tony Marcum, Randy Marcum (Jeannette), Jimmy Marcum (Dona), Rick Marcum, Marilyn Laird (Buck), Lynn Duphily (Ken), Brenda Griggs, Reva Marcum (Pat), and Darlene Donze (Bobby); 26 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a special friend/ son, Barry Sommers. He is loved by all and will be greatly missed by many. Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where visitation will be two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help with expenses.
