Robert P. Foster

Wyoming-Robert P. Foster passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born on May 13, 1938 in Wilmington, DE. to James Foster and Dorothy DiCamillo of New Castle, DE.   Robert was one of ten children.

He graduated from William Penn High School in 1956. 

Robert had many interests and accomplishments during his lifetime, including proudly serving in the Delaware National Guard, playing semi-pro Football, and obtaining his Captains Boat license and taking chartered boats out of Bowers Beach.  Robert  retired as an Electrician with IBEW and continued to enjoy hunting, fishing and Philadelphia sports.  He especially enjoyed visiting and hunting with his sons in Alaska.

Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Annette (Hurst) Foster;, his five children, Robert M. Foster (Debbie) of Chugiak, AK, John R. Foster of Wasilla, AK, James L. Foster of Anchorage, AK, Christine M.  (Douglas) Dean of Magnolia, DE, and Shannon L. Papen of Viola, DE. ; his grandchildren James Foster, John Foster, Ellie Foster, Jeffrey Dean, Bradley Dean, Ashley Papen, Zachary Papen, Shawn Lambert, Sherron Stalker, and Peter Lambert; his great-grandchildren Kay-Ci Lambert, Brian, Gabriel and Aaleyah Stalker, and Atlas Foster.

Memorial Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
