Robert F. “Pop” “Popeye” Clark, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 10, 2016, in Compassionate Care Hospice at St.Francis Hospital, Wilmington. He was 71.
Robert was born, November 19, 1944, in Dover, DE to the late, Thomas & Bessie(Hansley) Clark, Sr. He had worked for many years for the City of Baltimore, before retiring. In his free time “Popeye” enjoyed watching cowboy movies, playing spades, and singing oldies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, William L. Clark, Lida Jones, Dora Woodlin, and Thomas Carter.
Robert is survived by his children, Evita L. Williams, of Dover and Robert F. Clark, Jr, of Cleveland, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Malachi, Noah & Josiah; and his siblings, Thomas W. Clark, Jr, & wife, Mildred, of Dover; Elizabeth C. Mitchell & husband, Raymond, of Dover; Barbara Morris, of Dover; Elmer Clark, of Baltimore; Patricia Taylor, of Dover; Tyrone Clark & wife, Connie , of Dover; Ronald Clark & Alfreda Clark, both of Philadelphia.
