Rhaysa Emily (Mateo) Walker, 31, of Frederica passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2016.
Rhaysa worked in medical administration for the United States Air Force, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, writing and she loved the rain. Rhaysa was a member of the Chronic Pancreatitis Support Group.
Rhaysa is survived by her husband Christopher M. Walker; two sisters: Karen “Kat” Tavarez and her husband Roberto Rodriguez and Cindy Tavarez; three brothers: Francis E. Mateo and his wife Naja, Rafael Mateo and Dayvi Mateo; her father Jose R. Mateo and his wife Altagracia; her loving in laws: Michael and Della Walker; many nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles, infinite friends and family. Rhaysa is also survived by her beautiful cat, Sky. She joins in heaven her two beloved sons, Krhys Mateo Walker and Chanzlyr Jethro Walker and her loving mother, Virgilia Tavarez and favorite nephew, Steven Lora.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00.
