Paul Ronald (Bouchie) Bouchard

December 2, 1957 ~ March 20, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old


Dover, DE – Ret. MSgt Paul R. Bouchard (Bouchie), 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at Kent General Hospital.  He was born on Dec. 2, 1957 in Glastonbury, Conn. 

In high school he was an active member of the Glastonbury Chapter of Future Farmers of America where he was a breeder and obedience trainer of German Shepherds.  As a Boy Scout, he was the first one in Troop 540 of Glastonbury to receive his Eagle Scout badge.  He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1976.  Throughout his career he was stationed in Minot AFB in ND; Pease AFB in NH,  McDill AFB in FL and Dover AFB, where he retired as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Section Supervisor in 2002.  He thoroughly enjoyed camping in New Hampshire and attending the Bluegrass Festival every year with friends and family.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and could often be found on the weekends puttering around the garage, listening to the races.  

Left behind are his wife of 33 years, Anna Mary (Mangan) Bouchard; his daughter Mary Lawrence and her husband Steven Lawrence; daughter Kay Burton and her husband Donny Burton; Sister Cynthia (Bouchard) Schiche and her husband Oscar (Butch) Schiche; Brother David Bouchard; grandsons Jude Burton and Benjamin Lawrence, and a granddaughter he had yet to meet, due in May.  He is predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Jeannine Bouchard.  

There will be a memorial gathering on Sunday March 26th, 2017 from 10am until the time of military honors 12 Noon at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations to be made to the American Lung Association or to the Delaware USO.
