Ollie Mae Harrington born Ollie Mae Hatfield October 26, 1924 to Rebecca Jane and John B. Hatfield in Pike County, KY. She entered into rest on July 6, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 92.
She was 1 of 12 children and the last. She went to work in the Civil Defense Plant at Elkton, MD in 1943. Married John Larer Harrington of Leipsic, Delaware in 1945 on April 6, 1945. They had two children John Larer Harrington II and his wife Aida of Dover, DE and Ollie Rebecca Grant and her husband Lee R. of San Antonio, TX. She has eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She and her husband, Larer, lived in Wyoming, DE for over 50 years. They had a service station Harringtons Auto Service on Layton Avenue in Wyoming for 20 years. She stayed in Dover, DE until 2014 when she moved to San Antonio to live with her daughter and husband.
She retired from National Cup in Dover and her husband had retired from General Foods in Delaware.
She had been a member of First Baptist Church for many years and spent the last 10 or more as a member of Willow Grove Church of God before moving to San Antonio where she attended Southtown Community Church.
Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where a viewing will be one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
