Olin F. “Bob” Clough, of Felton, DE, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68.
Bob was born, November 6, 1949, in Chestertown, Maryland. He served proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era then continued for 30 years with the Department of Defense as a diesel mechanic, where he received countless accolaides and certifications. He held a bachelors degree in both business, and automotive technology; and was named in the book of Who’s Who among college students in American Universities.
He also owned an operated Clough’s Garage in Felton for over 30 years, and enjoyed fixing anything mechanical. He had a love of cars and tractors; and enjoyed gardening, history & politics; and his cats and dogs.
Above all Bob loved and was devoted to his family, and helped to raise 3 generations.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olin Wesley Clough.
Bob is survived by his doting and loving wife, Janet Clough; 3 children, Vickie Palmer & husband, Chris; Leonard “Hot Rod” Morris & wife, Shawn; and Bobbie Jo King ; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Cordrey & husband, Beanie; cousins, Sylvia & Jenny; his aunts who helped raise him Mandy Clough and Libby & Jim Clough; and aunt, Ann Hammer & husband, George; and his mother, Gertrude(Wallace) Reed.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Vitas Hospice, and the Disabled American Veterans, with whom he was a lifetime member.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 24, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave.; Wyoming, DE ; with viewing 1 hour before. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
