Nina B. Mamerow, 92, of Viola, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born at home in Mendon, NY, on July 11, 1922, daughter of the late Lester and Edna (Barnard) Bushman. She attended school at Pittsfod High School, graduating in 1938; attended McKechnie-Lunger School of Commerce (now R.I.T.) in Rochester, NY, graduating in 1940. She worked as a secretary for Paragon-Revolute Corp. in Rochester, NY for 11 years; GTE Sylvania Entertainment Products Group in Batavia, NY for 20 years; and Pavilion State Bank in Pavilion, NY for five years.
Nina was predeceased by her parents, sister Lucille Grimm; brother Maurice Bushman; grandson Scott Curtiss; and her beloved husband of 58 years John (Jack) Mamerow in 2002. She is survived by three daughters Rosemary (Jonathan) Bonnett of Alpena, AR; Roberta (David) Yencer of Felton, DE; and Patricia (Michael) Riccobono of Felton, DE; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild; many relatives and friends.
Nina had many interests earlier in life. She was very active in the local Grange in NYS, Auxiliary of the local fire company, United Methodist Women, and music assignments in Church. She also loved to bowl.
Friends will gather from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Road, Dover, DE on Wednesday, March 25 followed by a service at 12 noon. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Henrietta, NY.
