Milton J. Benton, Jr., 70, of Felton passed away on April 23, 2016.
Mr. Benton had served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, retiring as a crew chief. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and was a former member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars.
Mr. Benton is survived by his wife Carole Jane Benton; three children: M. Jay Benton and his significant other Karen Sanders of Marydel, DE, Cathleen Joyce Murphy and her husband Richard of Sandtown and Kimberly Benton of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Melinda L. Assen of Vallejo, CA and one granddaughter, Caley Murphy.
A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Liberty Church, 1150 College Road, Dover, DE 19904 where there will be a gathering of family and friends from Noon until 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
