Welcome to the memorial page for

Michele A (Warfield) Allen

July 31, 1952 ~ July 30, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Michele Alida Warfield was born on July 31, 1952 in Harlem, New York to Charles and Helen Warfield. She was the fourth of eleven children.  Michele attended John Jay High School in Brooklyn, NY. She became a member of a local drum corps where she met Willie Allen.  They later married and had 2 children, Dana and Kyle Allen.

Michele attended Kingsborough Community College.  She became a dental assistant and worked many years in that field.  She later attended Devry Business School in New York City, where she received a bachelor’s degree in computer programming.  She was also a minister at the Worship Church of God, Inc. in Brooklyn, New York where she enjoyed doing work for the Lord.  She put her hands to every task that was given to her including assisting other ministers in the church.  Michele was feisty, but when you got to know her, you would see that she had a heart of gold.

After the death of her daughter Dana on April 7th, 2011, Michele decided to relocate  to Dover, Delaware where several of her sisters were currently living. She became a manager at the Shepherd’s Place, a homeless shelter for women.  She was a member of the Worship Christian Center church where she attended the International School of Ministry and received an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies.

In the summer of 2016, Michele became ill, and on July 30, 2017 Michele received her angel wings.  Words cannot express the sadness and void her family feels, but we know that she took her final journey home to be with the Lord.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Dana Allen, her father Charles Warfield and her brother Lance Warfield.

Michele leaves to cherish fond memories, her son Kyle Allen and his wife Elina Allen, her grandchildren Jermaine Miles, Seraia Allen, Erika Allen, Isaiah Allen, Nooa Allen and Emilia Allen, her mother Helen Warfield, 9 siblings and their spouses, Rod Giddens (and his wife Maureen) ,Tamara Hicks (and her husband Allen), Daryl Warfield (and his wife Margie), Charlene Sinclair (and her husband Reginald), Ardys Reynolds, Keith Warfield (and his wife Nicole),  Dr. Kim Walker (and her husband Troy),  Kerry Warfield (and his wife Freda), and Tracey Moore (and her husband Kevin), an aunt and uncle and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
