Michael A. Gass, of Camden, passed away, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. He was 78.
Mike was born October 31, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and resided in Middle Village, Queens for many years, before relocating to Delaware. He served proudly in the United States Navy, then went on to a career with American Airlines before retiring. In his free time, Michael enjoyed walking, bike riding, and exercising.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Anna(Quinn) Gass, and his wife, Carol(Monks) Gass.
Michael is survived by his brother-in-law, Joseph E. Monks & wife, Lulu, of Houston, Texas; a brother, Frank Gass, of Long Island, N.Y.; 3 sisters, Margaret Ann Barning, of Ormond Beach, Fl; Kathleen Lavoro, and Mary Gass; his nephew, William Barning; and 2 nieces, Valery & Kerry.
Funeral Services will take place at 4 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2017, in Pippin Funeral home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may view from 2 to 4 pm.
