Mary Louise Amzibel

Mary Louise Amzibel passed away on January 6, 2017. She was 69. Mary Louise was born on May 19, 1947 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Angelo and Angela Napolitan.

Mary Louise grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio. She graduated from St. John’s High School in 1966. She married Edward Amzibel Jr. on May 1, 1971 and the couple had two children. In 1988, the family moved to Dover, Delaware and Mary Louise accepted a position as a one-on-one para educator in the Smyrna School District where she worked for 20 years.

Mary Louise’s life and passion was her family and she would light up the room with her smile and heartfelt presence. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved God, and would often be found reading the Bible on the porch in the morning. She loved to travel, and her greatest delight was traveling to Italy with her husband, brother and sister-in-law.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 45 years, Edward Amzibel; two devoted children, son Edward Angelo Amzibel and his wife Patricia, daughter Melissa Beauchamp and her husband Clay; four special grandchildren, Anthony, Ayden and Abigayle Amzibel, and Jayce Beauchamp; a caring brother, Joseph Napolitan of Ashtabula, Ohio and his wife Robin.

A gathering for family and friends will be from 7-9 pm Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware.  Funeral service will be Monday, January 23 at 10:00 am at Calvary Church, 1141 East Lebanon Rd., Dover, Delaware. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary Louise’s life.  Burial will follow service at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, 165 Commerce Way, Suite 2, Dover, DE 19904.
