Mark S Monroe

 Mark S. Monroe, 54, Capt. Ret. United States Air Force, was at home  surrounded by his family when he left us on 14 June to begin another journey down an unmapped road. He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, SMSgt Raenita Monroe, son Aaron, daughters Devon, Emerson (fiancé Brandon), Torri (son-in-law Michael), and grandson Peyton. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Bob Monroe (Collette), and sisters Cyd Meidinger (Don), Cate Monroe (Bob Holtzman), Mary Krueger (Dave), Lisa Williams (Blake), and Dana Nausid (Earl).

  Mark was employed as a Human Resources Specialist for the State of Delaware. In addition to writing a chronicle of his cancer journey, he lived his life to the fullest by visiting wineries, experimenting with home brews, walking on beaches, exploring nature’s trails, and carving one-of-a-kind walking sticks; but most important to him was spending time with his family.

    His visitation will be held on 25 June from 10am-12pm, and his Service of Remembrance will be held at 12pm, at Pippin Funeral Home on 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. His Celebration of Life will follow at the family’s residence.  Burial will be on 8 July at 2:30pm in which he will be laid to rest at the Ellendale Cemetery in Ellendale, North Dakota.
