Marie Patricia Rose Centa

Marie P. Centa, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 65.

    Marie was born, August 20, 1952, in Washington, D.C. to the late, Raymond & Genevieve(Gilardi) Duarte. She had worked as a contracted travel agent for the F.B.I., as well as being a school bus driver. In her free time, she enjoyed the Theater, Music, Traveling, playing card games, and spending time with her family. Marie was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover.

   She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Alan Centa; her children, Christopher Bowles, of Cape Coral, Florida; Daniel Bowles & wife , Amy, of Dover; Arwen Sturdwick & husband, Nick, of Leeds, England; and Edna Vail Henry, of Virginia. Her grandchildren, Christopher Bowles,II, Candace Bowles, Nate Bowles, Lexi Bowles, and Tristan Strudwick; her siblings, Michele Marrie & husband, Rick, Denise Duarte & significant other, Mike; and Raymond Duarte, Jr.; nieces & nephews, Davey Ward & wife, Ann, Amie Ward, Monica Vooght & husband, Jon, Alana Marrie & Derek Marrie; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

    Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, February 16, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave.; where family and friends may view from 2-4 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stephanie Roper/Maryland Crime Victims Resource Center, 1001 Prince George's Blvd. Suite 750, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774-7427. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
