Margie Ann Branscum, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Margie was born in Lucedale, Mississippi, on December 13, 1934 to the late Wilton and Mary Ann Dickerson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Renee.

Margie married her husband Clyde in 1956, and they were blessed with 59 years together. She was a wonderful Mother to three children, and worked in the home while supporting Clyde’s service in the United States Air Force. Once relocating to Delaware, she was employed by the State. She worked as a secretary to both the Security Superintendent, and Warden at the Correctional facility in Smyrna. In 2003, after retiring, she and Clyde built a home.  She often sat in her favorite place on the sun porch, where she would read and enjoy the beautiful flowers in her garden. She also liked shopping and cooking for others, but was happiest spending time with her family.

She was a longtime member at Capital Baptist Church in Dover, and leaned on her faith in times of need. Margie will always be remembered for her loving nature and sweet smile, and while she was a private person, she took every opportunity to help those around her.

Margie is survived by her husband Clyde; daughter, Tamara Ann Milanese and her husband Jon, their children, Melissa, Christina, and Kimberly; daughter, Mitzi Brodin, and her children, Alexandra and Liam; daughter, Karen Branscum.  She also leaves behind her 3 siblings, Hazel Lambert, Richard Dickerson, and Christine Geiger.

A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware 19934. Friends may gather one  hour prior.  Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
