    Margaret (Peg) Carter, age 95, died on Sunday, November 5, at the home of her daughter in Finksburg, Maryland.

    Born on December 31,1921 in Seaford, Delaware, Ms. Carter was the daughter of the late Oscar W. O'Neal and Mildred N. O'Neal. They moved to Camden in 1937 and she graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1939. She was a member of Whatcoat Methodist Church until 1979 when she became a member of Capitol Baptist Church on Kesselring Avenue, Dover, Delaware.

   Ms. Carter worked many years in the Camden post office and then in the Camden-Wyoming post office when they merged. She then worked for ILC Dover as the personnel administrator where she retired in 1984 after 20 years service. From 1984-1987 she worked in the church office of Capitol Baptist Church where she was a faithful and dedicated member.

   Ms. Carter was a charter member and past President of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and past Noble Grand of Ivy Rebekah Lodge #23.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence W. O'Neal, in 1986; her former husband, A. Bradford (Bubs) Carter, in 1996; and brother-in-law, T. Francis Meluney, in 2004.

   Ms. Carter is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Bobette Carter of Chincoteague, Virginia and Frostproof, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bill Godwin of Finksburg, Maryland and Fountain Hills, Arizona; a sister, Elizabeth (Lib) Meluney of Dover, Delaware; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Ann O'Neal of Pinehurst, North Carolina; five grandchildren — Tracy Carter of Georgetown, Delaware; Leanne Luesse of Fountain Hills, Arizona; Jennifer Carter of Seaford, Delaware; David Godwin of Westminster, Maryland; and Marc Godwin of Lahaina (Maui), Hawaii. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, several great, great grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews and faithful friends.

   Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2017 in Pippin Funeral Home , Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE , with visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows' Cemetery, Camden
